The purpose of this article is to bring awareness of advocacy for victims. In most cases, victims struggle with IPV alone, but there are organizations that offer advocacy and support services. Understanding the facts, tips, and resources for dealing with IPV might help victims have a better outcome and help professionals become aware of the resources available to clients. The article outlines key focuses of domestic violence advocacy for individuals and mental health professionals to gain insight of steps and actions that can be taken for empowerment and safety.
