Peer-Review Process
This journal adheres to an double-blind Peer Review process as follows:
This journal follows a double-blind peer-review process for all submitted manuscripts. Under this system, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process. This approach is intended to reduce potential bias, promote fairness and impartiality, and support the objective evaluation of scholarly work. All submitted manuscripts first undergo an initial editorial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated Handling Editor. At this stage, manuscripts are evaluated for their relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, adherence to the journal’s submission guidelines, and overall suitability for peer review. Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are normally sent to two or more independent reviewers with relevant expertise in sport sciences, health sciences, physical activity, exercise science, rehabilitation, or related fields. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript’s originality, methodological rigor, statistical analysis, interpretation of findings, ethical considerations, relevance to the field, clarity of presentation, and contribution to scientific knowledge. Reviewers provide constructive and objective comments to help improve the quality of the manuscript. They may recommend acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. However, the final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor, based on the reviewers’ comments, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the journal’s editorial standards. All parties involved in the peer-review process are expected to maintain strict confidentiality. Reviewers must not share, use, or disclose any information from the manuscript before publication. Reviewers who have a potential conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, research topic, or funding sources are expected to decline the review invitation. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and follows internationally accepted principles of research integrity and peer review, including standards consistent with COPE guidelines. The journal strives to provide a timely peer-review process; however, the duration of review may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the need for revision.
