The Impact of Organizational Wisdom on Social capital with the Mediating Role of Teachers' Knowledge Management (Case Study: First Secondary School in Tehran)

Background and Purpose: This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of organizational wisdom on social capital with regard to the mediating role of knowledge management of first secondary school teachers in Tehran. Method: The research method was descriptive-correlational in terms of the applied purpose, in terms of the data collection method. The statistical population of the present study included all the teachers of the first secondary level in Tehran, whose number was equal to 8873 people. The sample size was estimated using Morgan's table and based on multi-stage cluster sampling, 368 teachers. The data was collected in two library and field sections. In the field part, three standard questionnaires were used: Schmidt et al.'s (2012), Nahapit and Ghoshal's (1998) social capital, and Lawson's (2003) knowledge management. To measure validity, face, and content and construct validity were used, which showed the validity of the instrument. Data analysis was done in two parts: descriptive and inferential (structural equation modeling). Results: The results of the research showed that according to the mediating role of knowledge management, organizational wisdom has an effect on the social capital of first secondary school teachers in Tehran (P<0.001). Conclusion: The implicit findings of the research also showed that organizational wisdom has an effect on social capital; Organizational wisdom has an effect on teachers' knowledge management, and in addition, knowledge management has an effect on the social capital of first secondary school teachers in Tehran.
